Rho, Lombardy

Rho [ ɾɔ ] is a town with 50 198 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Milan, Lombardy region in Italy.

Geography

The village is 156 meters above sea level on the banks of the River Olona. It extends over an area of ​​22 km ² and its population density is 2326 inhabitants / km ².

History

The first documentary mention of the city dates from the year 846, under the name of Vico Raudo. In old documents, there are still other names, such as Rhode, Rodo, Raude, Raudo, Rhaudum, Rò and Rho.
