Rhyodacite
Rhyodacite is an extrusive volcanic rock that conveys in its composition between dacite and rhyolite. It is as at the surface solidified rock, the equivalent of granodiorite.
In a aphanitischen to glassy groundmass of light to medium color, there are typically crystals of sodium- rich plagioclase, sanidine, quartz and biotite or hornblende. Rhyodacite is a silicate- rich rocks, and often occurs in pyroclastic volcanic deposits.
Use
Rhyodazite hardly find use as decorative rock, since they can hardly win in the form of larger ingots and are often very fragmented.
