Rhythmic (chart)

The Rhythmic Airplay Charts (also Rhythmic Top 40) airplay charts that are created by Billboard. The charts are based on the airplay inserts in the Urban music (R & B and hip hop).

History

The Billboard magazine took its first development for the Rhythmic Airplay Charts on 15 February 1987, when it created the charts for crossover music. The first number -one hit was Looking for a New Love Jody Watley of. The charts consisted of 30 tracks and were evaluated from the airplay of only 18 radio stations. In December 1990, Billboard released the charts, there was more radio stations played the genre specific music, for example, there were many radio stations that only played pop songs, it set the Mainstream Top 40 together and play the Urban music for the radio stations, created Billboard in October 1992 the Rhythmic airplay charts.
