Ria Visser

Adriana Johanna Visser ( born July 20, 1961 in Oud- Beijerland ) is a retired Dutch speed skater who until the mid- 1980s, especially in the all around was successful beginning.

Visser's strength lay in the all around, the national championship they won five times, including four times in a row (1983 to 1986 to 1980). Internationally, it could only partly build on their successes. At the Junior World Championships in the all around 1979 and 1980 you get two third places. However, their best placings remained a fourth place in the all-around world championships each 6th place (1979) and at the European Championships.

At the Olympic Winter Games she went, since there is no more fight, on the individual routes to the start. In Lake Placid 1980, she came over 3000 feet after a fall, not the finish line, but won over 1500 meters surprising silver behind her compatriot Annie Borckink. In Sarajevo in 1984 it was over 500 meters 30, 25 over 3000 meters and 1500 meters 13

Ria Visser presented in their career in several national records. Four times they improved the record for the 1500 meters. She stopped and improved their record over 3000 meters over 5 From 1980 until 1985.
