Riaan Botha

Riaan Botha ( Riaan Johannes Botha, born November 8, 1970 in Pretoria ) is a former South African pole vaulter.

At the Track - Africa Championships he won in 1992 in Belle Vue Maurel bronze and silver in 1993 in Durban.

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, he left in qualifying, and at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, he came on the 14th Place.

In 1997, he finished fourth at the World Indoor Championships in Paris and failed at the World Cup in Athens without a valid attempt. In 1998 he was fifth at the IAAF World Cup in Johannesburg and won at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.

1991, 1992 and 1996, he was South African Champion.
