Ribnica, Ribnica

Ribnica ( German: Reifnitz ) is a city and a municipality in the Lower Carniola region of Slovenia.

In the overall community consisting of 63 villages and hamlets 9326 people live. The city Ribnica alone has 3480 inhabitants. The municipality is situated approximately 40 km south of Ljubljana. It is one of the oldest towns in Slovenia. Your name is derived from Riba ( slowenisch. fish).
