Ricardo Gomes
Ricardo Gomes Raimundo ( born December 13, 1964 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian football coach and former player.

Playing career
Association
Ricardo Gomes began his active professional career in 1982 Fluminense Rio de Janeiro. With the Fluzão he won between 1983 and 1985 three times in a row the state championship in Rio de Janeiro. Then he handed in his resignation.
After that, he coached various clubs in Brazil, including the EC Vitória, Sport Club do Recife, Guarani FC, FC Coritiba, EC Juventude and Fluminense FC.
In the summer of 2005 he returned to France and became a coach at FC Girondins Bordeaux. He led the team that was only narrowly escaped relegation in the previous season, the runner-up and qualified it thus for the UEFA Champions League. There Bordeaux but different from in the preliminary round. The 2006/07 season ended Bordeaux at number 6, and won the League Cup. At season's end Gomes resigned from his coaching job.
A short time later, he signed a two-year contract with the Premier League rivals AS Monaco.
