Ricardo Rosset

Ricardo Rosset ( born July 27, 1968 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian racing driver and former Formula 1 pilot.

Rosset started his motor racing career at the age of 21 years in karting in Brazil. In 1991 he moved to the Brazilian Formula Ford in 1600. The season he finished in fifth after three wins. In 1992 he went to Europe and competed in the Formula Opel Euro Series. In 1993 and 1994 he competed in the British Formula 3. In 1995 he drove in Formula 3000 and was able to finish the season with second place.

Then Rosset began his Formula 1 career in Formula 1 season 1996. He drove for Arrows in 1996 on the side of Jos Verstappen and 1998 in Tyrrell on the side of Toranosuke Takagi. His first Formula 1 race was the Grand Prix of Australia.

1997 Rosset was reported for Lola. After 1997, as well as his team-mate Vincenzo Sospiri could not qualify for the race, the Grand Prix of Australia, Lola had as a result of missing sponsoring the season already prematurely after the first race.

Rosset was qualified for a total of 27 Formula 1 races. His best results were of each eighth place in Hungary in 1996 and in Canada in 1998. Through the former points system he could reach no championship points. With the phasing out of Formula 1 Rosset ended his motorsport career.
