Ricardo Salgado

Ricardo Salgado ( born June 25, 1944 in Cascais, Portugal) is a Portuguese economist and banker. President and Founder of Banco Espírito Santo, he is now the senior banker in Portugal.

Training

As a great-grandson of José Maria do Espírito Santo Silva and maternal grandson of Ricardo Espírito Santo Silva Ribeiro do Ricardo Salgado spent his early years in Lisbon. He lived in the district of Lapa, where he attended a public elementary school and later the gymnasium Pedro Nunes.

In 1969 he made ​​at the Instituto Superior de Ciências e Económicas Financeiras ( College of Finance and Economics - ISEG today ) at the Technical University of Lisbon with a degree in economics. Professional career

After the re-privatization in 1991, Ricardo Salgado takes over the executive presidency of Banco Espírito Santo.
