Ricardo Santos (footballer)

Ricardo Henrique da Silva dos Santos (born 13 February 1987), shortly Ricardo Santos, is a Brazilian footballer.

Sports career

Santos began playing football at Volta Redonda. After his talent was discovered, he joined the youth team of Boavista SC. In the spring of 2007, he left his homeland and went to the Swedish club Kalmar FF. In the Allsvenskan but initially he could not prevail, so that he played seven of his eight Erstligaeinsätze as a substitute. Therefore, it was awarded in the 2008 to Åtvidabergs FF where he could show off with twelve goals this season. Still, he could not prevail to Kalmar FF at the end after his return and was awarded again. By the summer, he ran to the second division Jönköping Södra IF. Again he distinguished himself as a regular scorer and scored seven goals in 13 games.

In summer 2009, Santos returned again back to Kalmar FF. This time, he established himself in the team, scoring six goals until the end of the season in the Allsvenskan. In the following season he was one of the regulars and counted by the summer break at the best scorers in the league. In the qualifying round of the Europa League 2010/11 he scored against EB / Streymur each in return game a goal.

In January 2012, Santos changed within Sweden to Djurgårdens IF. Under coach Magnus Pehrsson he was at his new club immediately to the regulars.
