Ricardo Villar (Brazilian footballer)

Ricardo Villar ( born August 11, 1979 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian football player who has an Italian passport. It is mainly used as an attacking midfielder.

Career

His home club is the FC São Paulo in Brazil. From there he moved to Penn State University in the USA and played in the university team. About the Pittsburgh Riverhounds he came to Austria, where he was a season in Austria Salzburg under contract in 2004. In the 2004/05 season Villarreal came on 21 missions in the Austrian Bundesliga, where he was able to achieve two goals.

After a season in South Korea at the Chunnam Dragons, he was finally obliged by 1 FC Kaiserslautern. In the 2nd Bundesliga but he could not prevail and only came to ten league games as well as volunteering in the DFB Cup against FC Bayern Munich. In addition, he also completed three games for the second team of the Palatinate in the Regionalliga Süd.

For the 2007/08 season Villarreal then moved to SpVgg Unterhaching. In the Munich suburbanites, he received a two-year contract and qualified as a performer with his team for the newly created third league, which he was able to contribute seven goals. After half a year Vereinslosigkeit Villar signed for Greek second division club AS Rhodes. For the 2010/11 season Ricardo Villar returned to Unterhaching, from where he moved after ten league games in January 2011 to FC Dallas in Major League Soccer.
