Riccardo Agostini

Riccardo Agostini ( born April 20, 1994 Padua ) is an Italian race car driver. In 2012 he was Italian Formula 3 champion.

Career

Agostini began his motorsport career in karting, where he was active from 2001 to 2010. 2010 debuted Agostini also in Formula racing and went for the Prema Powerteam in the Formula Abarth at the start. While his team-mate Jordi Cunill had become fourth overall, Agostini came eleventh in the championship with a win. 2011 remained Agostini in Formula Abarth. The first four race weekends, he completed Villorba Corse, the remainder of the season, he played for JD Motorsports. Agostini's best individual finish was a third place. In the Italian standings he finished seventh in the European Roller. In addition, he participated in a meeting of the Formula Pilota China Series with JD Motorsport. He scored a third place.

2012 remained Agostini at JD Motorsports and joined the Italian Formula 3 Championship. In contrast to the majority of the pilots used Agostini no Dallara chassis, but a vehicle of Mygale. He was the only Mygale pilot, who played every race. Agostini won five races and stood at 24 races total of 14 times on the podium. With 281 to 248 points, he sat down at the end of the season against Eddie Cheever III through and won the Italian Formula 3 Championship. Agostini was both in the European championship, which included all races, as well as in the Italian, went down in 18 of 24 races forward. As a reward for winning the title in the Italian Formula 3 Agostini completed in November 2012 Formula 1 test driving for Ferrari.

2013 received Agostini at Manor MP Motorsport a contract for the Auto GP. After the first half of the season he lost his cockpit. A third place was his best result. He was tenth in the drivers' standings. In addition, Agostini took 2013 a meeting of the Formula Renault 3.5 for Zeta Corse part.
