Richard Ashworth

Richard James Ashworth ( born September 17, 1947 in Folkestone ) is a British politician ( Conservative Party ) and Member of Parliament for South East England.

Life

Richard Ashworth attended from 1960 to 1965, the The King's School in Canterbury and studied until 1968 agricultural culture and management at Seale Hayne College, in Devon. After that he went to New Zealand for 2 years before he dairy farmer in East Sussex was over 30 years long. He is married and has three daughters.

In 1997 he ran for the English Parliament election for the District of North Devon and 1999 for the European election for the South East region. Ashworth heard since June 2004 at the European Parliament. It belongs to the European People's Party. He was also chairman of United Milk Plc (1996-2002) and NFU Corporate ( 2001-2003). Richard Ashworth is a member of the Budget Committee and the Delegation for relations with Australia and New Zealand
