Richard Blumenthal

Richard Blumenthal ( born February 13, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. Since January 2011 he is sitting for the state of Connecticut in the U.S. Senate.

Life

The parents of Jane Blumenthal were Rosenstock and Martin A. Blumenthal, who had immigrated as Jewish immigrants from Germany. He studied for his schooling at Harvard College and at Trinity College, Cambridge and Yale Law School Law. After studying Blumenthal served six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. From 1977 to 1981 he was United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. He then worked as a lawyer in the law firm of Cummings & Lockwood.
