Richard Cassels

Richard Cassels (* 1690 in Kassel, Germany, † 1751 in Ireland), in Ireland also known under the name of Richard Castle, was active in Ireland architect and is considered one of the most important architects of the Irish Palladian style in the 18th century.

Life and work

At Cassels buildings include the Doric temple at Trinity College, Rotunda Hospital, Powerscourt House, Leinster House and Russborough House.
