Richard Franklin Chew ( born June 28, 1940 in Los Angeles, California) is an American editor and Oscar winners.

Life

Richard Franklin Chew was born on June 28, 1940 as the son of Chinese immigrants in Los Angeles. He served in the United States Navy. After he received a degree in philosophy at UCLA, he studied at the Harvard Law School. Then a career in the 1960s in Seattle began as an assistant editor at a local television station.
