Richard Elliot

Richard Elliot ( born 1964 in Scotland) is a Scottish saxophonist. He obtained with the funk band Tower of Power his first fame. His solo career started when he nachspielte the classic When a Man Loves a Woman. Other well-known songs are In the Groove, Take Your Time, Crush, The Corner Pocket, and Sly, the latter presumably a tribute to Sly Stone, as well as classic Popspongs I'm Not in Love and Luther Vandross ' hits Here and Now and Your Secret Love.

Together with saxophonist Paul Taylor, Gerald Albright and keyboardist Jeff Lorber played Elliot in the Grooving for Grover concert series, which was dedicated to the late Grover Washington, Jr., the father of Smooth Jazz.

His music is the Smooth Jazz Act. With partners such as Rick Braun, he founded the record label ARTizen Music Group, which also brought out his latest album Rock Steady.

Richard Elliot is known for its like a zebra striped tenor saxophone. He is married and has four children.
