Richard H. Kline
Richard Howard Kline (* November 15, 1926 in Los Angeles, California) is an American cinematographer.
Life
The son of the cameraman Benjamin H. Kline began his career as a camera operator ( camera operator) and Camera Assistant ( assistant camera) among others in the movie in 80 days around the world in 1956, with David Niven in the lead role.
Since 1964, Kline served as a Director of Photography ( director of photography ), initially for several television productions.
Twice Kline was nominated for an Academy Award, first in 1968 for Camelot - On King Arthur's court, then in 1977 for King Kong. He went away empty-handed both times. In 2006 he was awarded for his life's work the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award. Overall, he was involved in more than 50 productions.
