Richard Hanitsch

Richard Hanitsch ( born December 22, 1860August 11, 1940 ) was a museum curator.

Hanitsch published articles in journals about sponges in Liverpool end of the 19th century. Later he worked at the Raffles Museum reportedly in Singapore, mainly in entomology, but also birds, amphibians and reptiles.

He attended the Christmas Island and it was dedicated by thereto an stamp.
