Richard Herd

Richard Herd ( born September 26, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American actor.

Life

Stove suffered in his youth under osteomyelitis, which was however cured by administration of penicillin. He began at the high school with the drama. He made his film debut in 1970 in Arnold Schwarzenegger's first feature film Hercules in New York. From the mid- 1970s he began his career as a television actor, he played among others Kojak - Kojak and The Rockford Files - Just call us. In the 1980s, he had a starring role in the series TJ Hooker and V - The Final Battle, by which he gained a greater awareness in Germany. His other appearances were under Simon & Simon, Knight Rider and The A-Team. With appearances in Dallas, Dynasty and Falcon Crest, he was seen in the three most important and longest lasting series of the 1980s. In the 1990s, he had recurring roles in Steven Spielberg's SeaQuest DSV Seinfeld and Star Trek: Voyager. Since then he has continued to work as a guest star of some of the most successful series of the United States.

Herd played relatively few roles in feature films. Among other things, he played supporting roles in the four -time Academy Award - winning The Untouchables, in for four Academy Awards nominated The China Syndrome as well as nominated for three Oscars Private Benjamin. He was seen with a ticket for two and Trouble with Sergeant Bilko in two comedies on the side of Steve Martin, and in Clint Eastwood's Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

In addition to his acting work, he also served as vice president of the Screen Actors Guild. He founded with several other actors, the Enterprise Blues Band, which occurs (including Casey Biggs ) on Star Trek conventions. For his theater work, he won an Obie Award, he is also active as a producer of next off-Broadway performances. Stove lives with his wife, actress Patricia stove, in Southern California.
