Richard Hesse

Richard Hesse ( born February 20, 1868 in Nordhausen, † 28 December 1944 in Berlin) was a German zoologist.

Hesse studied natural sciences in Tübingen and Berlin, where he later taught. He worked in the tradition of Karl August Möbius with ecological and zoogeographical problems of wildlife.
