Richard Johansson

Carl Richard Johansson ( born June 18, 1882 in Gävle, † July 24, 1952 ) was a Swedish figure skater, who started in a single run and pair skating.

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 he won the silver medal behind compatriot Ulrich Salchow and ahead of his compatriot Per Thorén and was thus part of the total Swedish podium the Lord competition at this first Olympic games, where figure skating was in the program.

Four times took the four-time Swedish champion in the individual race at the world championships and again at the European Championships, but did not win a medal there. In his only appearance in the pairs figure skating, however, he won the bronze medal at the side of Gertrud Ström at the World Championships in 1909 in the domestic Stockholm.
