Richard Kiel

Richard Kiel (* September 13, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan ) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the Biter in the James Bond films The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker - Top Secret. He also played in later films with, for example, in Pale Rider - The unnamed rider by Clint Eastwood.

Life

Exceptional is his height of 2.17 meters, which is due to the hormonal disorder acromegaly. He was great at the age of 18 years over two meters. Originally Kiel mathematics teacher until a producer noticed him and gave him a guest role in an episode of the series at the foot of the Blue Mountains. From then on, appeared again and again in Kiel on television series and was soon a familiar face on American television.

1976 Kiel played in Trans America Express the "giant guy with the not very attractive set of teeth ", which consisted entirely of gold teeth. Since a car accident in 1991 Kiel used to walking a walker for longer distances or a battery-powered wheelchair, as it has since problems with balance.
