Richard Mallié

Richard Mallié ( born October 26, 1948 in Besançon) is a French politician. He was from 2002 to 2012 Member of the National Assembly.

Mallié, full time dental surgeon, began his political career in 1983 as a member of the municipal council of Bouc -Bel -Air. The father of three children became politically active and in 1989 was elected mayor of the municipality. In 2001 he moved also in the General Council of Bouches -du -Rhône. The following year he went to for the UMP in the parliamentary elections in the 10th constituency of Bouches -du -Rhône and was elected with 54 % of votes. In 2005 he was promoted to Secretary of the National Assembly. During his first mandate in parliament, he was considered the most active MPs in the country. In the following 2007 elections he was re-elected with 57 % of votes. He was one of the founding members of the 2010 launched group La Droite Populaire within the UMP. At the elections in 2012, he took up again, but failed with only 38 % of the votes at the Green François- Michel Lambert ( 41 %), which was also due to the fact that the FN candidate also reached the second round.
