Richard Pearson (film editor)

Richard Gordon Pearson ( * November 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American editor.

Life

Pearson began his career in the 1990s when he 1994-1997 several episodes of the series New York Undercover cut. In 1998, he contributed to several episodes of the miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, followed in 1999 with Muppets from Space, his first feature film, in which he was involved.

For his involvement in Flight 93 Pearson was nominated in 2007 along with his colleagues Christopher Rouse and Clare Douglas for an Oscar in the category Best Editing. The three won in the same year a BAFTA Film Award and was also honored at the Online Film Critics Society Awards.
