Richard Plant Bower

Life

The parents of Richard Plant Bower were Mabel Truas Hamm and Thomas Toefiled. He attended the Model School and Kelvin Technical High School in Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba until 1924. He married on August 27, 1931 Barbara Helen Monteigh. Their children were Barbara Anne, Marilyn Diane, Robert Barry. He worked in the paper industry. Richard Plant Bower joined the Foreign Service in 1926. He was accredited in the Netherlands as Trade Commissioner. As a result, he was in the Dutch East Indies, New Zealand, Australia, Newfoundland at that time was independent within the Commonwealth and accredited in the United Kingdom. When he was appointed ambassador to Venezuela in 1956, he moved from the Department of Industry of the Industry and Trade Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

From 1971 was Richard Plant Bower Director of Trans Caribbean Shipping Ltd. ..
