Richard Romanus

Richard Romanus ( born February 8, 1943 in Barre, Vermont ) is an American actor, screenwriter and film producer.

Biography

Richard Romanus was born the son of Eileen Maloof and Raymond Romano. He has Lebanese ancestry. His younger brother is actor Robert Romanus. He studied law for a year at the University of Connecticut. He then moved to New York City where he took acting lessons at the Actors Studio. After his screen debut in 1968 in the horror film The Ghastly Ones, he had his first major role as Michael Longo alongside Harvey Keitel, Robert De Niro and David Proval in Martin Scorsese gangster film Mean Streets.

Romanus is married to the Oscar-nominated costume designer and film producer Anthea Sylbert.
