Richard Wagner Conservatory

The Richard Wagner Conservatory of Music in Vienna was founded in 2009 as a music school and was the Conservatory by the Federal Ministry for Education, by decree of 1 September 2013, the public's right. It is based on two sites in the 12th district of Vienna.

The studies at the Richard Wagner Conservatory is divided into sections depending on the field of study and semester as university under the Private Education Act 1962. As fields of study are instrumental and vocal studies as well as instrumental and vocal pedagogy ( IGP) offered that are concluded with an internationally recognized qualification. Currently, students from many countries in the instruments piano, organ, voice, violin, cello, viola, double bass, flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, horn, trumpet, tuba, guitar and accordion are taught the language of instruction is German. Students must pass an entrance examination in order to be accepted at the Conservatory, the minimum age is 16 years old, an age limit up there is not.

Director of the Conservatory is Mirza Kapetanovic, the PhD Course Committee currently consists of about 30 professors and instructors who teach at universities or members of prestigious opera houses, orchestras and ensembles.
