Richard Wagner (novelist)

Richard Wagner ( born April 10, 1952 in Lovrin, Banat, Romania ) is a German writer.

Life

After studying German and Rumänistik in Timisoara Wagner worked as a German teacher and journalist. He also published poetry and prose in German language. He was a member of the Writers' Circle of Friends Action Group Banat, which also Gerhard Ortinau, Rolf Bossert, William Totok, Johann Lippet, Albert Ernest Bohnund Wichner included, among others, and the Herta Müller and Horst Samson were close. He joined in 1972 the Romanian Communist Party.
