Richeling

Richeling is a commune with 352 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Sarreguemines, for Canton Sarralbe and community association Albe et Lacs.

Geography

The community Richeling in northeastern Lorraine is in the range of ponds that were created by congestion of the source rivers of the parent stream ( Moder stream ), a tributary of the Albe. The reservoirs Etang de Welschhof, Etang des Marais and Etang de Hirbach are only two kilometers from Richeling. They are developed for tourism and recreation, and particularly with anglers and sailors very popular. The only 4.2 km ² comprehensive municipal area is the Notter stream which forms the northwestern boundary of the municipality, drained. Richeling has in the northeast a small share of the Forêt de Sarralbe, most of the gently undulating area consists of arable and grassland.

Neighboring communities of Richeling are Grundviller in the north, and Sarralbe Holving in the southeast and Rémering -lès- Puttelange in the West.

Economy and infrastructure

Richeling is a small town and was coined long on agriculture. Many homes are newer and expression for the continued population growth of recent years, which is due to the proximity to the lakes on the one hand, the large farms as Smartville or Ineos ( petrochemicals) on the other hand, promoting the influx of many there employees.

By Richeling the national road leads 56 ( Saint- Avold - Sarralbe ). The connection Puttelange -aux -Lacs at the Paris -Strasbourg motorway is only four kilometers away from Richeling. The nearest train stations are in Sarralbe and Loupershouse.
