Richfield is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is located in Hennepin County and is a suburb of the Twin Cities, bordered by Minneapolis to the north, the Minneapolis -Saint Paul International Airport to the east, Bloomington to the south, and Edina to the west. In the census of 2000, the population was 34,439. Best Buy, the largest electronics retailer in the United States, has its headquarters in Richfield.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the area of the town is an area of 18.3 km ². Of these, 17.9 km ² land and 0.5 km ² water surface, which corresponds to about 2.55 %.

According to the census in 2000 living in Richfield 34,439 people in 15,073 households and 8,727 families. For the 15,357 houses, the density is 859.3 houses per km ². Ethnically, the population is composed of 81.25 % White, 6.65% African- American, 0.72 % Native American, 5.3 % Asian, 0.04 % Pacific Islander residents from the 3.41 and % from other ethnic groups. Approximately 6.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino.
