Richard Porte (born 30 January 1985) is an Australian racing cyclist.

Richie Porte won the 2006 Tour of Bright, the first two stages and so could the Appreciation decide for themselves. From 2008 to 2009 he drove for the Australian Continental team Praties, then he drove from 2010 to 2011 for the Danish team Saxo Bank. Since 2012 he is for the British Team Sky in use. At the Tour Down Under 2008, he started with the national team and finished ninth in the overall standings and was third in the junior rankings. Shortly thereafter, he was successful on a section of the Tour of Wellington.

His greatest successes so far achieved Porte at the Giro d'Italia 2010. On the 11th stage of the Tour, he reached in the overall standings the first place. The Maglia Rosa could defend Richie Porte 3 stages long. He was also from the 1st to the 3rd stage and from stage 7 to the end of the tour 's best young rider. In the overall standings, the Australian finished 7th.
