Richmond is the capital of Wayne County in the U.S. state of Indiana. It lies on the River Whitewater. Richmond is located on the border between Indiana and Ohio. In 2000, approximately 39,100 people lived in Richmond.

In Richmond there is a university that is called Earlham College.
