Richmondshire

Richmondshire is a District in the county of North Yorkshire in England. Administrative center is the city of Richmond. Other important towns are with Catterick Catterick Garrison, Colburn, Hawes and Leyburn.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough Richmond, the Rural Districts Aysgarth, Leyburn, Reeth and Richmond and part of the Rural District Croft.
