Rick Davies

Rick Davies ( born July 22, 1944, when Richard Davies in Swindon, Wiltshire, South England ) is a British musician and songwriter, best known, along with Roger Hodgson as founder, singer and songwriter for the rock band Supertramp, and since the passing of which is the only permanent member.

Davies plays the Wurlitzer keyboard and the piano of the band. He is the top-heavy, dark voice of Supertramp. Among his most famous songs include Bloody Well Right, Crime Of The Century, Is not Nobody but Me, From Now On, Goodbye Stranger, My Kind Of Lady, Cannonball and You Win, I Lose ( here in chronological order ), all from Supertramp albums come.

Rick Davies has already collected with 12 years of musical experience as a drummer in a band. But soon he switched to keyboards and founded his first band in 1962 Ricks Blues. The drummer of this band was the future pop star Gilbert O'Sullivan ( Get Down ). 1966 to 1968 Davies was a member of the band The Lonely Ones.

1969 Davies learned during a performance with his band The joint Dutch millionaire Stanley August Miesegaes, called Sam, know. In 2010, Davies has toured the 40th band anniversary with Supertramp Europe and gave it the 1000th anniversary concert of the group. The tour continued in Canada and France, 2011.
