Rick Dees

Rick Dees Rigdon Osmond Dees actually ( born March 14, 1950 in Jacksonville ( Florida)) is an American radio DJ. Dees was raised in Greensboro (North Carolina) and completed a degree majoring in Radio and Film Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor. He lives in Southern California Toluca Lake.

Dees had guest appearances in several films and television series, such as in The Love Boat, Diagnosis: Murder and La Bamba. He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame and was awarded the People's Choice Award 1999. In addition, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is dedicated to him.

With the song Disco Duck Dees could prove one weeks # 1 on the U.S. singles chart in 1976. The song was, inter alia, 1977 by D. J. Scott gecovered. Even the former radio host Willem scored a chart hit with his German version of Tarzan is back.

Dees was from 1982 to 2004 morning host of the radio station KIIS -FM in Los Angeles. Since 1983 he also hosted the weekly chart show Rick Dees Weekly Top 40, which will be broadcast in three different formats to about 350 U.S. radio stations and on the Internet as a stream and podcast.

From September 2006, Rick Dees was a morning presenter on the radio station Movin ' 93-9 FM in Los Angeles. After a change of format of the station in April 2009 he finished there, however, his moderation activity.
