Rick Kiefer

Richard "Rick" Pine ( born May 24, 1939 in Cleveland) is an American jazz trumpeter, who had long been active in Germany.

Kiefer played in 1957, first with Buddy Morrow, Benny Goodman and Urbie Green, before he became a member of the big band of Maynard Ferguson was in the same year in which he remained until 1963. In 1964, he appeared at the Berlin Jazz Festival and was then taken by Max Greger in his orchestra. In 1968 he played on the Jazz Festival Frankfurt. In the late 1960s he moved to Cologne by Greger the orchestra Kurt Edelhagen. In the next few years he also worked with James Last and the Rhythm Combination & Brass by Peter Herbolzheimer before he became a member of the WDR Big Band Cologne was in the late 1970s.
