The Rickenpass connects the Linthebene with the Toggenburg in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

The pass is located on 805 m above sea level. M. in the political communities Wattwil and Ernetschwil split location Ricken and forms the cultural boundary between the St. Gallen- based Toggenburg and the Zurich - based See-Gaster. History

The Rickenpass originated about 1000 years ago, first as a mule track as a connection between St. Gallen and Uznach. About 400 years ago the path was expanded to a road, which then led to war between the Toggenburgern and the Abbey of St. Gall. Until 1918, led a stagecoach line over the pass, which was then replaced by a bus service.
