Rickmansworth

Rickmansworth is a town with 14,000 inhabitants in the UK. It is the administrative seat of the district of Three Rivers in Hertfordshire and is situated 7 km west of Watford.

Rickmansworth is connected by the Metropolitan Line of the London Underground with London, the city itself lies outside the area of Greater London. The city grew thanks to the connection to the Metropolitan Line, especially in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century and it is still largely dominated by commuters.

The novelist George Eliot had a summer residence in the city. The House in the High Street is now part of St. Joan of Arc School. A girl named Fenchurch takes place in a café in Rickmansworth, the question of " Life, the Universe and Everything" in Douglas Adams 's novel series " The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".
