Ricky Carmichael

Ricky Carmichael ( born November 27, 1979 in Clearwater / Florida) is an American race car driver.

Life

Carmichael began his career at the age of three with motocross. Following his amateur career in 1996 he became a professional in Kawasaki. In the 1996 season he was eighth in the standings, earning him the title "Rookie of the Year" earned. As a result, he won all the championships in which he participated.

In 2002 he moved to Honda; After initial problems in the Supercross Championship he then won the National Outdoor Championship in the form of a "Perfect Season" ( won every race of the year ) and is the first driver to have succeeded. Another "Perfect Season" followed in 2004.

In 2005 he switched to Suzuki, a team which had remained untitled profits for some time.
