Ricky Hui

Ricky Hui (actually: Ricky Hui Koon - Ying born August 3, 1946 in Guangzhou, Panyu, China, † November 8, 2011 in Kowloon, Hong Kong ) was a Chinese film actor. He and his two brothers Michael and Sam appeared in several successful comedies of the 1970s and 1980s.

Life

The Hui family emigrated in 1950 from China to Hong Kong and settled in the then poor area of Diamond Hill. Ricky Hui has four siblings: Samuel Hui, Michael, Stanley and Judy. Early played in the family art an important role: Ricky's father played the violin, and his mother loved Cantonese opera. Ricky Hui worked as a correspondent for the French press agency in Hong Kong.
