Rico Meinel

Rico Meinel (born 3 April 1974) is a former German ski jumper.

The Klingenthaler Meinel jumped from 1991 in Ski Jumping Continental Cup (COC ). In his first season in 1992/93 he reached the 15th place in the COC overall standings with 43 ​​points. On March 18, 1992, he reached in the team event at the Junior World Championship in Finland Vuokatti the bronze medal. After he was able to achieve good results in the Continental also the beginning of the following season, he was nominated for the A national team and played on 5 December 1992, in Falun, Sweden his first jump in the ski jumping World Cup and was used in that season in the ski flying World Cup. Until 1997, Meinel jumped nor parallel in the Continental Cup and the World Cup, but has had little success. Therefore, he finished in 1997 his active ski jumping career.

After his career he has worked as a manager and coach of a fitness center in Chemnitz.
