Rico Steinmann (1990 )

Rico Steinmann ( born December 26, 1967 in Karl- Marx-Stadt, East Germany ) is a former German football player.

Career

Rico Steinmann began his career as a midfielder for FC Karl- Marx-Stadt. He was considered one of the greatest football talent in the GDR and completed 1986-1990 23 games for the national football team of the GDR. After the end of the GDR, he moved in 1991 to the first FC Cologne in the Bundesliga 1. In 1997 he went to the Dutch club FC Twente, where he ended his career in 2000 as a player and after that for a short time acted as manager of FC Chemnitz.
