Rie Tanaka

Rie Tanaka (Japanese田中 理 恵, Tanaka Rie, born January 3, 1979 in Sapporo, Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese voice actress ( seiyū ) and singer who in primarily for her role as Lacus Clyne in Gundam Seed / Gundam Seed Destiny and Chii Chobits is known. From their fans it is often called " Rie - Rie ".

Life

In elementary school, Tanaka was a member of the " book club " because she loved reading. When she participated in a reading event, the children were enthusiastic about their idea and the teacher praised their performance, what they have to their decision to become a seiyū, motivated. Her debut was in 1998 in the role of Akiko in Dokkiri Doctor. As a child, Tanaka took singing lessons and performed in numerous concerts. 2001 and 2003 she released two albums as a solo artist, Garnet and 24 wishes. However, it has not appreciably successful. In June 2009, she released her first photo book, Aya Rie.

Since 2003, Rie Tanaka has a fan club, which is called " Café de Rie ."

On June 17, 2012, she married the voice actor Koichi Yamadera.
