The administrative community Riechheimer mountain is an association of nine municipalities of the Ilm -Kreis, in Thuringia, Germany. It was founded on 1 January 1997 from the defunct administrative Communities Bösleben and Kirchheim. Its headquarters is located in Kirchheim ( Thuringia).

In the administration of Community 5,850 (as of 2007) people live on an area of ​​11,300 hectares. It is bounded on the east by the county of Weimar and in the north to the city of Erfurt.

As a public corporation, the VG is a municipal purpose association with a central administration point. The / Chairperson of the VG is elected by the Community Assembly for six years. In the meeting, the communities are represented by their mayor and other council members.
