Riein
Riein ( [ ʁijɛɪ̯n ]? / I ) until December 31, 2013 at Illanz municipality in the district of Surselva the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. On 1 January 2014 merged with the former municipalities Riein Castrisch, Duvin, Ilanz, Ladir, luffing, Pigniu, Pitasch, Rueun, Ruschein, Schnaus, Sevgein, Siat the new community Ilanz / Glion.

Geography
The municipality is located in Val Lumnezia east of the river Glenner on a terrace on the western slope of the Signina group. At that include the Piz Riein ( 2'752 m), Piz Signina ( 2'848 m), the highest mountain of Piz Fess ( 2,880 m). The two largest settlements are the village and the district Riein Signina ( 1'318 m). Of the total municipal area of 1,582 ha 631 ha unproductive area (mostly mountains). More 589 hectares are covered by forest and woodland. Almost 70 % of the agricultural area of 347 ha is used as a mountain pastures. The rest of 15 ha settlement area.
Population
Of the 65 residents, all Swiss citizens possessed ( end of 2004). It is spoken Sursilvan, the population is mostly reformed. The Riein belonging to, made accessible by an automatic cable car, Weiler Signina was inhabited for centuries by German-speaking Walser.

Monumental is the Protestant church.
