Riitta Myller

Riitta Mail is Mirjami Myller ( born July 12, 1956 in Joensuu ) is a Finnish politician of the Social Democratic Party of Finland and was until 2009 a member of the European Parliament.

Biography

Myller was born in 1956 in Joensuu, where they went to school. Later she studied at the University of Tampere only social formation and then the social sciences with an emphasis on sociology, where he made her Master of Arts. From 1983 to 1987 she worked at Yleisradio as a freelance journalist.

She worked from 1980 to 1995 Member of the City Council of Joensuu from 1987 to 1994 Member of the Finnish Parliament.

1995 Myller was elected to the European Parliament, where she was a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and the Delegation for relations with the Gulf States. It belongs to the Socialist Group in the European Parliament. In July 2009, she finished her work in the European Parliament after three election periods. She is now active in the city council of her hometown Joensuu.

Myller is not married.
