Rikitea

Rikitea is the main town of the island of Mangareva, French Polynesia, and is located in the Pacific Ocean. He has about 800 inhabitants.

Infrastructure

The place has a cathedral, which was consecrated in 1839 and is the largest cathedral in Polynesia. In Rikitea there are some small shops. All merchandise must be imported will be delivered by cargo ship from Tahiti. An air link connecting the island once a week with Tahiti. The island is accessible by phone, but not connected to the Internet.
