Riku Helenius

Riku Helenius ( born March 1, 1988 in Pälkäne ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since May 2011 JYP Jyväskylä in the SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Riku Helenius began his career as a hockey player in the youth of the Finnish first division club Ilves Tampere in which he was active until 2007. In addition, he sat from 2005 to 2007 a ​​total of nine times for the first team in the SM- liiga on the bench to play without, however. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006 in the first round than a total of 15 players from the Tampa Bay Lightning.
