It was a vehicle of the lower middle class, the Riley brought out in 1926.

The Riley 9 has a four-cylinder in-line engine - the first above -controlled motor in its history - with V- shaped overhead valves, cross-flow cylinder head and two at the bottom camshafts. With 1087 cc engine ran a maximum of 29 bhp (21 kW). All four wheels were suspended on rigid axles with semi-elliptic springs. The vehicles were available as a tourer and with various other bodies.
